FAQ FAQ HOME

  • How are grades and transcripts issued?
  • The course contains both computer-assessed sections and teacher-assessed sections. The computer-assessed sections are typically multiple-choice quizzes and tests. The teacher-assessed sections are normally comprised of assignments, labs, essays, etc. A final grade is issued by the instructor of record when the course is completed. The school will then issue the transcript to the student.
  • Who is the person that actually grades the student’s work?
  • The teacher-assessed sections are graded by the assigned instructor, whose role it is to also assist the student when they have questions regarding the content. The instructor is a highly qualified teacher who has been trained on the platform and is usually also concurrently teaching live classrooms at our partner schools.
  • When students have questions, what do they do and how long does it take for an answer?
  • Students can email the teacher of record on the messaging system in the platform and a response will be provided typically within 24 hours on business days.
  • How does a student get credits transferred to his/her home school?
  • Each student identifies the home school at the time of enrollment and a transcript of the grade will be sent to that location. It is the sole responsibility of the student to ensure in advance that the home school will accept a transfer grade if the class is being taken for credit. While all our participating partner schools are fully-accredited high schools, they are not responsible for a student’s home school accepting a transfer grade.
  • Can any student take any course?
  • Yes. In many cases, students choose to take courses to prepare for a future course or to prepare for a final exam. However, if a student is taking a course to remediate a failing grade or to improve a grade already earned, it is very important to choose the correct subject and course. It is the sole responsibility of the student to ensure in advance that the home school will accept a transfer grade if the class is being taken for credit.
  • How much are the courses?
  • The course price varies depending on the length (one semester or two semesters), type (Advance Placement, tutorial, etc), and the counselor code that is applied. After searching for the course you need in the Course Finder, you may click on the individual courses to find the Course Fee only after submitting the counselor code.
